Please explain as detailed as possible what exactly happened prior to this issue as well as what you already tried to fix it. It's important to understand what happened, in order to fix the issue with the least possible risk of data loss/corruption. Please provide a list of all files in the VM's folder (ls -lisa from the command line/SSH) and compress/zip the following files and attach them to a reply post.
- the .vmx file
- the .vmsd file
- all .vmdk descriptor files (you will need a tool like WinSCP to download only the small descriptor .vmdk files)
- all vmware*.log files
